Apple could be launching an array of new products as early as next week, according to a new report.
The new products are expected to include a new iPad Pro line-up, a larger iPhone SE model that will come with 128GB of storage and new Apple Watch bands.
“Rumours widely suggest at least a trio of new iPad Pro models will be unveiled as early as this month, including an all-new 10.5-inch model with slimmer bezels and updated 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions,” MacRumors reported.
The iPad range is expected to see some significant changes with the 10.5-inch version dispensing with the Home button, having a higher screen resolution and quad speakers.
The 12.9-inch model is rumoured to include a 12MP rear camera, a True Tone display that will incorporate four-channel ambient light sensors to alter colours and density to match the surrounding environment.
The iPhone 7 is also expected to be updated as too is the iPhone 7 Plus with an ‘S’ added to the names, whilst launching the iPhone 8 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the device which, according to rumours, may be called the iPhone X.
Apple is also planning to launch a new connector that will be called the ‘Ultra Accessory Connector’ (UAC) through its official Made-for-iPhone (MFi) programme.
The UAC will be an eight-pin connector that is slightly thinner than a USB-C and about half as wide as both USB-C and Lightning connectors.
While the date of the event is yet to be announced, MacRumors says it is likely to be held between likely Monday, March 20 and Friday, March 24, citing “reputable supply chain analysts…”who wish to remain anonymous”.
