All four of the new Android powered Nokia smartphones will receive the new Android 8.0 Oreo update, HMD Global has confirmed.
This weekend HMD Global’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas revealed that all new Nokia models – Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8 – will be updated to the latest version of Google’s Android operating system.
All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included. No comments yet on timing so that I don't get into trouble 😊.

“All of our smartphones will upgrade to Oreo, Nokia 3 included,” Mr Sarvikas said in a Tweet.
However the company has not revealed an exact timeline of when customers can expect to receive the update.
“No comments yet on timing so that I don’t get into trouble,” he added.
Android Oreo was unveiled by Google last month and has already begun rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices.
Google has said previously that it has worked to ensure the latest version of its operating system is rolled out to Android devices more quickly.
While no date has been set when the Nokia devices will receive the update, Google said last month that Android smartphone manufacturers should be able to roll out the Oreo update by the end of this year.
In June, HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand name, launched the Nokia, 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones in Thailand, after the company revealed that Thailand is regarded as a one of its key markets.
The new Nokia 3, which is priced at just Bt 5,000, is arguably one of the best value Android phones currently available.
Last month, the company launched the Nokia 8, its most high end phone to date and which is expected to be released in Thailand before the end of the year.
