Samsung to release new variants of Galaxy S9 and S9+


Samsung recently announced the expansion of the colour ranges for their flagship devices, the Galaxy S9 and S9+.

The Korean firm has revealed that two new colour options will soon be available.

Apple’s biggest rival revealed the Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red editions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ handsets via their online newsroom on Wednesday 16th May 2018.

Samsung stated in their release stated that the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available initially in the South Korean and Chinese markets on Friday, May 25th.

There was no mention from the company if the Burgundy Red edition will be available in other markets, however, they did reveal a Sunrise Gold edition will be available to certain markets across the globe including, Australia, Chile, Germany Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

Thailand so far hasn’t been mentioned but it is likely to be included in the other markets that Samsung will reveal soon.

The company has repeatedly stated the Burgundy Red edition launch in China was to revitalize its struggling performance there.

Samsung claims that the Burgundy Red edition is made up of one of the deepest reds available on the market.

The Sunrise Gold edition features a satin gloss finish that shines and sparkles, Samsung says the new colour option exudes the feeling of both vibrancy and calm.

Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics CMO, said “People want to be able to express their style and personality through their technology and colour is a big part of that personalization.”

Mr Lee concluded with, “The new editions extend the colour offerings of Galaxy S9 and S9+ with vibrant styles that embrace a modern and classic feel.”
