After it was unveiled last month, Apple has confirmed the Thailand price and release date of the new iPhone SE.
Apple’s new 4 inch handset will be available to pre-order from May 2 and will be on sale from May 11, with prices starting at 16,800 Baht for the 16GB version and 20,800 Baht for the 64GB iPhone SE.
The handset is available from the Apple Store or from any of Thailand’s three major mobile operators: True Move, Dtac and AIS.
The iPhone SE is a similar size and shape and looks almost identical to the iPhone 5S from three years ago. However, it includes much of the same technology included in its latest flagship handset, the iPhone 6S.
Among its features, it includes a 4 inch metal body, a flush camera, a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and is available four different colours: space grey, gold, rose gold and silver.
The SE is powered by Apple’s A9 processor alongside 2GB or RAM, with 16GB or 64GB of internal storage.
It also includes a 12 megapixel primary camera, with a 1.2 megapixel front facing camera.
Apple will be hoping its decision to release a new 4 inch, feature rich handset will help to boost sales by attracting more cost sensitive buyers.
On Tuesday, Apple announced its first drop in revenue since 2003 after it sold 10 million fewer iPhones in the first three months of 2016 than it had done the previous year.
