Apple set to release new emojis


Apple has announced it will release a host of new emojis across all its devices this year.

In celebration of World Emoji Day, Apple is sharing some of the new emoji coming to iOS, macOS and watchOS. Applie said the emojis will make it easier for users to express themselves with greater diversity, additional animals and creatures, new smiley faces and more.

With thousands of emoji available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, there are many ways to add personality to every message, the tech giant said.

New emojis include woman with headscarf, bearded person, breastfeeding and food items such as a sandwich and a coconut.

There are also animals and mythical creatures such as a T. rex, a zebra, a zombie and an an elf.

Apple said there will also be fun ways to describe situations and new star struck and exploding head smiley faces.

Also in celebration of World Emoji Day, the App Store will be highlighting apps to create or do fun things with emojis.
