Earlier today, pictures were revealed on Twitter of what seems like BlackBerry’s much-rumoured Android-powered Venice smartphone, which is apparently coming soon to AT&T in the US. Now, Twitter users Evan Blass has leaked an image of what appears to be a BlackBerry device running Android…

From the image that appeared on Twitter, it’s not immediately clear what the device is, but it definitely seems a little odd. As you can see below, there’s a physical keyboard on the bottom, as well as what looks like an on-screen keyboard too.
The image is cut off, so it’s not possible to really tell what the device looks like.
It is possible that the image above is just an early artist’s render, and the top part which has the Android user interface in fact slides down over the keys. It would be helpful of course if we could see the rest of the picture – but the device looks similar in form to the BlackBerry Passport.
We have heard rumours about a forthcoming Android phone coming from BlackBerry for some time now, with Reuters already reporting earlier in the month that the Canadian firm plans to release a new slider phone powered by Android later in the year.
