Renowned video game publisher EA has recently confirmed the release of a remastered version of their critically acclaimed racer Burnout Paradise for the current generation of consoles and PC.
The game will be released on March 16th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One while the PC version will be released later in the year, however, there was no mention of a Nintendo Switch version as yet.
This newly remastered version will include eight add-on packs along with the original game. Anyone familiar with the original will remember the legendary Cars pack which let you race around in classic cars from the movies which included the Ghostbusters Ecto 1 and the DeLorean from the Back to the Future as well a whole new open world expansion called Surf Island.
Of course, the new edition will benefit from the power available of the new consoles, EA has stated the technical enhancements will be “high-resolution textures” and offer 60 FPS / 4K support for the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. Retail price in the UK will £35 and $40 in the U.S.
When the original Burnout Paradise was released in 2008 Video Game critic Alex Navarro said it was a “superbly fun racer” and duly awarded it 9/10 in his review.
