Smartphone cases are rarely anything to get excited about. Sure, they serve a purpose but that’s about it.
But now a new company called Esti inc. has created a smartphone case that is totally unique.
The company, which has already smashed its $95,000 target on Kickstarter, has launched the Eye smartphone case, which rather than being a typical iPhone case is essentially a full blown Android handset, which even includes a 5 inch AMOLED screen that attaches to the user’s iPhone.
In its Kickstarter description, Esti inc. says: “The current technology of the iPhone LCD display is old.”
“In comparison, Eye’s screen is using the best display technology on the market today called AMOLED.
“With this technology, all colors, including real black, are much more vibrant on the screen. (There are rumors saying that only the premium version of the iPhone 8 will have an AMOLED display).
“Additionally, the display size and resolution of the iPhone 6, 6s and 7 is only 4.7″ and 1,334 x 750. Eye’s screen is 5″ and 1,920 x 1,080!”
And the additional display isn’t the only remarkable thing about Eye.
It also runs Android 7.1 Nougat and includes a 2,800mAh battery, slots for 2 SIM cards and a MicroSD card and even has its own 3.5mm headphone jack.
Not only that but it also makes use of the camera, microphone and speakers giving what some users may think is the best of both Android and iPhone.
Etsi has released any info regarding hardware, saying it runs on its own in house chipset.
Early bird prices for the Eye start at $95 and $129 for a 4G enabled version.
