Samsung’s new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 will go on sale in September, the company’s CEO has said.
The Nation reports Samsung chief DJ Koh confirmed the launch date during a visit to Samsung Thailand on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a report from South Korea claim the Note 8 will be officially unveiled on 23 August.
The news comes after an official Samsung Twitter account posted a photo of an unidentified handset, which is believed to be the Galaxy Note 8.

The tweet from the Samsung Exynos account was meant to promote its new Exynos 9 (8895) processor and shows the chip placed on top of the mystery device.
The image shows the handset with a similar display to the Galaxy S8 but with an even smaller bezel and also appears to be a little slimmer.
The Note 8, has been the subject of increased scrutiny in the run up to its launch after its predecessor the Note 7 was recalled after a battery fault caused numerous handsets to explode.
The Note 8 is rumoured to include a huge 6.3 inch infinity display and is expected to look a lot like the Galaxy S8+.
