Every week we seem to get another piece of the puzzle in terms of getting information about what Samsung is expected to announce in just two weeks’ time. There have been leaked engineering diagrams, unofficial 3D renders and photos, as well as a ton of rumours on the release date and specs. Now what looks like an official press photo has leaked out from well known leaker Evan Blass on Twitter.
Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ leak
Samsung has already said it will hold a press event on August 13th. It will certainly use that to get ahead of the forthcoming IFA event in Berlin, as well as Apple’s September iPhone event, to announce its next flagship phablet devices. The Galaxy Note 5 is a direct descendent of the Note series with the typical Galaxy design influences, but the Galaxy S6 Edge+ appears to be just a larger version of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The renders don’t offer up many more clues than we’ve already seen, but they do of course reaffirm the rumours that have circulated already. An interesting thing here is the date displayed on the lock screen – Friday 21st of August – that might be a confirmation of the release date rumours so far.
Thai Tech will cover the developments during Samsung’s event when it starts on August 13th, so make sure you check back in a couple of weeks. Hopefully Samsung will include some new features rather than just update the physical design of the phones…
