Google plans to unveil two new Nexus devices – one from Huawei and another from LG – at an event on September 29th. The Nexus 5 will be made by LG while the Nexus 6 will be a Huawei-made device, and both will be made official in just a couple of weeks.
Google’s new Nexus lands this month
Renders of the the LG and Huawei Nexus have leaked on the Internet for quite some time. We already had a peak at the Huawei device earlier in the month as well as some tentative pictures of the LG version.
Hard details and specs of the Huawei Nexus have been rather sparse but it’s assumed by online rumours sites that some features (such as USB Type C and fingerprint scanners) will be common to both of the new phones.
The Nexus 5 looks set to come with a Snapdragon 808 processor, a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3 GB of RAM, a 2,700 mAh battery, USB-C, a 12.3 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel front camera.
Both devices will of course come preloaded with Android Marshmallow, Google’s next version of its popular smartphone and tablet OS.
Check back later in the month for more details and pics of both new phones.
