Google have revealed a 35 second teaser video on YouTube where they appear to point out the failings of other devices, suggesting that they will be addressing these problems with their own handsets.

The video suggests that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will come with better batteries, more storage space and better cameras.

Evan Blass suggests that the new devices with be powered by the Snapdragon 836 SoC and will have a curved screen and glass rear.

The new devices will also dump the headphone jack in a similar manner to Apple.

Previously, Blass had claimed that the new devices would have a Laser autofocus feature and two LEDs in the flash.

Rick Osterloh confirmed in an interview with AndroidPT that the Pixel devices will be aiming for the top end of the market.

He said: “Pixel stays premium” and the firm will “leave lower price segments to other manufacturers”.
