If you’re in Bangkok this weekend and in the market for a flagship smartphone, then there’s a great deal to be had on the LG G5 SE (special edition).
LG is officially launching its new premium smartphone at the Thailand Mobile Expo which is taking place until Sunday.
The LG G5 SE is available to pre-order through retailer TG Fone both at the Expo and in stores in Bangkok for 21,500 Baht.
A 1,000 baht deposit is required, however, anyone who orders the phone will also receive an LG G Tablet 8.0 worth 6,900 Baht for the first 100 orders.
In addition, customers who order at the Expo will also receive a VR headset worth 1,790 Baht and one year screen protection insurance worth 5,000 Baht.
Despite being slightly less powerful than the LG G5, the SE version still boasts some pretty impressive specs and looks almost identical to the G5.
It includes USB-C, the same 5.3 inch Quad HD display at 2560×1440 resolution. There’s also a 16MP dual camera and a 2,800 mAh battery. The LG G5 SE runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and of course includes LG’s revolutionary interchangeable modular accessories.
The difference between the LG G5 and G5 SE lies in the processor and RAM, with the G5 SE including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 instead of the Snapdragon 820 in the G5.
The G5 SE also only has 3GB RAM rather than the 4GB RAM found in the G5.
The LG SG SE will be on sale in Thailand from June 15.
Also making its debut in Thailand is the LG Stylus 2 which is available for 8,790 Baht.
Announced at MWC 2016, the LG Stylus 2 offers slight upgrade from last year’s LG G4 Stylus and features a 5.7 inch 720p display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor 1.2GHz quad core processor and a 3,000mAh battery.
