A hacker who reportedly stole episodes from the upcoming season of popular Netflix show Orange is the New Black has leaked them online after Netflix refused to pay a ransom.
The hacker, who goes by the name of “The Dark Overlord” first uploaded the leaked episode to an illegal file sharing site on Friday.
The hacker ordered Netflix to pay a “modest” ransom in order to stop any other episodes being leaked, the Associated Press reported.
However, after Netflix failed to pay the ransom, the hacker posted a statement online on Saturday saying they would leak more episodes.
“With this information in mind (and the fact that leaving people on cliffhangers isn’t fun) we’ve decided to release Episodes 2-10 of “Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 after many lengthy discussions at the office where alcohol was present,” the statement read.
“It didn’t have to be this way, Netflix,” the hacker added
“You’re going to lose a lot more money in all of this than what our modest offer was.”
Who is next on the list? FOX, IFC, NAT GEO, and ABC. Oh, what fun we're all going to have. We're not playing any games anymore.

The new series was due to premiere on June 9.
The hacker later claimed they had more Netflix content that they would upload, as well as shows from ABC, National Geographic and Fox.
Netflix said leak was the result of a security breach at a small vendor who works with a number of major TV studios.
The company said the FBI is investigating.
