There’s a new website called Hacker’s List, which aims to hook up professional hackers with anyone that might need to use their nefarious services. You can post a job on the site and take your pick of the best hackers…
Hackers for hire
The website states that “Hiring a hacker shouldn’t be a difficult process, we believe that finding a trustworthy professional hacker for hire should be a worry free and painless experience. At Hacker’s List we want to provide you with the best opportunity to find your ideal hacker and for professional hackers around the world to find you. Our hacker-for-hire review process makes it so that only the best hackers for hire are allowed to offer their services and expertise”, which looks like a knock-off of freelancer sites.
However, you might think that such a service is illegal? The website (which is apparently based in New Zealand) states that users should not use it for illegal purposes, so presumably it’s just for hacking into websites and email accounts that you own but you can’t get into..
On the website, there are all sorts of jobs listed, such as iPhone hacking, Facebook, and many more. Each hacker has their own profile, and a rating, so you can easily see which hackers are worth hiring before you start a new project.
We’re not sure yet whether the site is completely real or some kind of spoof, but judging by the profiles and jobs listed on there, it does seem that people are earning money from it. Additionally, the website promises to hold funds deposited for jobs in escrow, so that if there’s a dispute both parties have a way to fairly decide what to do and how much should be paid. Fairly typical of the other freelancer sites.
It would certainly be interesting to setup a Facebook or email account and hire someone to break into it, at least then we would be sure whether it’s legitimate or not.
If you need any hacker services, be sure to check out Hacker’s List, and then let us know whether the service was any good.
