Here’s how to play hidden basketball game in Facebook Messenger

In celebration of the March Madness basketball tournament, Facebook has hidden a basketball game inside its Messenger app.

The new feature was added to the latest version of the messaging app which was updated on iOS and Android on Thursday.

The release of Facebook Messenger basketball comes just over a month after it was revealed a chess game was hidden inside the app.

You can start playing the basketball game in Facebook Messenger alone or against one of your Facebook friends.

To start, simply send a basketball emoji either to yourself or one of your contacts – just tap on the emoji and the game will begin.

As you might expect, the game is pretty straightforward and requires you to flick the basketball into the hoop. The game resets your score whenever you miss a basket.

If you rack up 10 straight baskets, the starting position of the ball starts to move around the hoop, making things a little more tricky.

Each time you score a basket you are awarded a celebratory emoji.

To play the game you will need to update to the latest version of the Messenger app. Also, the game is only available on mobile.
