HTC’s new flagship smartphone, the HTC One M9, was shown off at Mobile World Congress in Spain at the start of this month, but until now we had no idea when the device would be released.
HTC One M9 release date
Apparently, the device will no debut in the company’s home country of Taiwan on Monday, March 16th, with more international markets to follow soon afterwards. It has also been revealed that there will in fact be two models released – a 32 GB one that retails for around $700, and a larger 64 GB model which goes for $750.
However, HTC has not yet confirmed that every version of the device (i.e., global, US, CDMA, GSM, etc) will be available in both storage options.
HTC One M9 features
The newest HTC One is made of the same scratch-resistant metal as the previous model for its main body, and there are some subtle colour effects that run around the sides of the device.
Hardware-wise, the device packs quite a punch with the following specs:
- a 5-inch Full HD display
- an 8 core Qualcomm 810 Snapdragon CPU
- 3 GB of RAM
- 32 / 64 GB of internal storage
- a 4 Megapixel front camera
- a 20 Megapixel rear camera sensor with a dual-LED flash
