Huge crowds thronged to the Queen Sirikit Convention centre in Bangkok yesterday for the opening of the biggest mobile show in Thailand – Thailand Mobile Expo 2016.
Organizers said that some 600,000 visitors are expected and the show will likely have a turnover of 1.5 to 1.6 billion baht.
It runs from 10am to 8pm every day finishing on Sunday October 2nd.
All the top brands you might expect are at the show including Samsung, OPPO, vivo, Sony, Wiko, Asus, Lenovo, Acer and Moto while providers like AIS, DTAC and TRUE will play a big part.
Many promotions and special offers are available with OPPO celebrating eight years in the Thai market with entry into special smart phone draws for all people buying their flagship F1s that have all the bells and whistles in high resolution screens and cameras.
Huawei is offering freebies and promotions including 0% financing.
Other highligts include the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, which have been reduced to 13,900 baht and 23,900 baht, respectively.
The mid-range Samsung Galaxy J7 version 2 has also been reduced to 7,900 baht.
Asus has also reduced one its popular Zenfone phones – the Zenfone Zoom – to 8,490 Baht, while True Move, AIS and DTAC all offering big reductions on the iPhone 6S and 6 Plus for anyone who signs up to a monthly contract.
Other gadgets on sales include DJI’s range of Phantom drones, as well as a number of GoPro action cams, with the Hero 4 on sale for 11,999 baht.
