If you have ever used this seedy website, your porn habits are being made public

A major adult website has been hit by hackers meaning that users’ viewing habits may not be as private as they had hoped.

The Candid Board confirmed there had been a breach of security and around 180,000 users’ personal details had been stolen and more worryingly, uploaded to the web.

It is believed that the details stolen include dates of birth, IP addresses as well as usernames and passwords although passwords are only being shown as hash-out versions.

The breach actually happened back in September 2015 but the information has only recently been published on HaveIBeenPwned, a breach notification website.

Not only is the breach embarrassing many of the women are unaware that their pictures have been taken.

“It’s amazing how much personal data people will entrust sites of this nature with,” Troy Hunt, HavelBeenPwned’s site manager told IBTimes.

“Members provided accurate email addresses and birth dates which combined with their IP address now very clearly ties them back to a site of very questionable legal status.”

Candid Board are unashamed by their offerings stating: “We do not want to limit people by a narrow definition of what is and what is not “candid”.

“Basically, anything un-posted and non-professional is allowed as long as no board rules are broken.”

This is far from the first time that adult websites have been hacked. Only recently we have all read about the hacks on sites such as xHamster, Brazzers and Ashley Madison.

Maybe users of these sites such be a little more careful in future about what information they choose to disclose.
