There have been more leaks about the iPhone 8 than any other smartphone in history.
The latest comes from Forbes, which claims to ‘confirm’ what the new iPhone 8 or iPhone Edition will look like.
Forbes says it has obtained CAD files from a case desinger in Apple’s supply chains. These latest designs confirm that it will have an edge-to-edge display and near bezel-less design.
The new images show the device with a 5.8-inch OLED display that has a ‘notch’ at the top for a front facing camera and sensors.
The report ‘confirms’ that there will be a vertical dual camera setup on the rear that is said to come complete with AR, 3D sensing and depth of field features.
The report goes further, ‘confirming’ that the Apple will stick with the controversial lightning port and that there will be no comeback for the 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Forbes report also suggests that the Touch ID sensor will NOT be in embedded under the display but will be embedded in the power button instead, claiming that it is twice as big as on previous models.
This idea isn’t new and is something that Sony have already incorporated although Apple have already been granted a patent for this.
There is little doubt that Forbes is confident about the leaked information but others are still far more cautious.
The iPhone 8 is tipped to be released in early September.
