Discovering little tech hacks and tricks are always fun.
And if you are bored of the appearance of the apps on your iPhone then a newly discovered trick could breathe new life into your device.
As an iPhone user perhaps you long for the variety and flexibility afforded to Android users – you want to break free from the sterile monotony of iOS, well we hear you loud and clear.
And whilst this new trick might not be as useful as an Android widget or let you personalize your phone anywhere to the extent of a new theme, for iOS users it is actually quite a major change.
It appears that one YouTube user has found out a way to alter the shape of the icons on iPhone through a glitch that affects any device running the latest version of iOS.
The glitch allows users to change the current curved squares to full circles. (OMG! I hope you’re sat down.)
There is no need to jailbreak the iPhone or iPad and it only takes a few minutes to do.
All that is required is to find a very small image, for example 3 x3 pixels, and upload it as your wallpaper, which can be done by going to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper > Camera Roll and select the image from there.
Regarding the iPhone hack, the general feeling is that this is an error by Apple and not an intentional decision but Apple site Cult of Mac said “once you’ve set the image as your wallpaper it will transmogrify your banal rectangular folders into dainty circular ones.”
If this is something that you are looking to do it might be an idea to do it sooner rather than later before
the excitement becomes too much Apple likely fixes the problem with a new update.
