It’s not strictly speaking a robot, but it’s definitely one of the funkiest contraptions that we’ve seen in a while.
What is it? The Japanese juice and tomato ketchup company Kagome built a wearable machine that dispenses tomatoes for one of the runners in the Japan Marathon, this weekend.
Check out the video, it’s pretty self-explanatory.
The robot/wearable is basically a PR exercise to encourage people to eat tomatoes rather than bananas – as Dole Japan has sponsored the Japan Marathon for years, and provides lots of free bananas for the runners. Perhaps this robot will persuade people to consider a switch…?
