Anyone that has been clamouring to get their hands on Apple’s new thin-and-light machine, the 12-inch MacBook, will be pleased to know that the machine will soon be available for purchase at all Apple Stores globally starting from the week of May 25th.
12-inch MacBook finally available at Apple stores
The extremely light machine has been so far limited to online orders only, much like the recently-released Apple Watch. However, stocks will soon be available in brick-and-mortar stores (and presumably, in Thailand too), according to a memo from Apple to its retail staff issued earlier today.
Because of supply constraints, sales of the MacBook (which comes in three colours: gold, silver and space grey) has been very hard to get hold of, but that’s all about to change.
Despite the fact that Apple hopes to have the MacBooks available in all stores by the end of May, the company also says that “limited” quantities are now available in select Apple Stores in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, France, as well as Italy, China, Hong Kong, Spain and Sweden.
Retail stock has been mostly unavailable until now, some Apple stores across the world, have not even had display units for customers to test out the new laptop. Apple has also informed employees that this will change by the end of next week.
As for the Apple Watch, which has also been impossibly hard to get hold of, the head of retail, Angela Ahrendts, tols staff that Apple will have retail stock by June.
