MailTime arrives on Android

MailTime is an email client with the sole aim of making emailing as easy and smooth as messaging.

The app has been available on iOS since 2014 and was even named by Apple as one of the App Store’s Best of 2015 apps.

However, it has taken until now for the app to be available to Android users.

The app has been hugely successful since its introduction in 2014 and has been downloaded more than one million time.

One of the major reasons for its success is that it is compatible with every major email service.

This in conjunction with fact that it is free to download and brings emailing and instant messaging closer together makes it a must have app for many users.

A feature that is seen as being a big plus is the fact that the platform as agnostic.

This basically means that unlike many messaging apps where both users have to have the same app, Whatsapp for instance, MailTime enables  you can contact just about anyone in your address book and the communication will be transmitted.

The messages are displayed in bubbles similar to Messenger messages as MailTime takes away any unnecessary metadata.

With the likes of Whatsapp, LINE and Facebook Messenger, some may have (prematurely) predicted the death of email.

MailTime however, brings a whole new approach to email and sits nicely in the middle ground between that and instant messaging.
