APPLE WATCH SERIES 3 is well designed to do double duty as both a health device and a sport watch. Its new features focus on helping people to track daily activities.
After experiencing it for months, I’m convinced the watch is faster than others in processing any kind of data and with quicker app launch times and smoother graphics, thanks to its dual-core processor and wireless chip.
A distinguishing feature is the watch’s longer battery life. The previous version’s |battery ran out sooner. The watch Series 3, with the battery fully charged, could be my companion all day long as I fully used its functions. It kept time, sent notifying messages and email, picked up my calls, tracked some activities, and measured my heart and even breathing rates.
Apple has designed a new custom wireless chip called W2, making Wi-Fi 85 per cent faster and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 50 per cent more power efficient, while still providing all-day battery life and keeping the size virtually the same as before.
Another key feature for Apple Watch Series 3 is an updated Heart Rate app, which when combined with the power of watchOS 4, makes the watch the device of choice for a healthy life.
The updated Heart Rate app, gave me even more insight into my heart rate, including measurements during rest, workout, recovery, walking and breathing sessions. It let me easily monitor my heart rate and better manage everyday stress. The user could also choose to receive a notification when their heart rate is elevated above a specific threshold while inactive. I usually used it to monitor my heart rate while playing badminton.
Another feature I loved is the Intelligent Activity Tracker that tracked all the ways I moved throughout the day and showed how active I was every day through the three simple rings, in pink (move), green (exercise), and blue (stand up for at least one minute of every hour). It inspired me to move more in order to close the rings. It encouraged me to try to complete the rings every day.
In addition to silver or space grey aluminium, Apple Watch Series 3 watch body now comes in a gorgeous new gold aluminium, along with silver or space black stainless steel cases, which all pair with a stunning assortment of new band colours and styles.
Meanwhile, the Woven Nylon is updated with a new pattern and the lightweight Sport Loop effortlessly adjusts to fit wrists with unparalleled comfort. I really love it, both its lightness and cool design.
For me, Apple Watch series 3 is a good companion for people who are concerned about their health. It will alert you to do activities and ensure you get your basic personal health information almost all the time, every day.
