MWC 2016: Lenovo to Launch Lemon 3 Plus Smartphone

Next week’s upcoming MWC 2016 event will see the launch of Lenovo’s new Lemon 3 Plus smartphone and they have issued a few teasers to build the anticipation.

Unlike many brands that are launching their new devices, the Lemon will not be the flagship model for Lenovo but a mid range Android device that comes complete with some pretty mean features!

Brief glimpses of the phone have been seen on social media and the general consensus is that the phone will be a bigger version of the Lemon 3 that was launched in China around the turn of the New Year. The teasers that have been shown seem to hint at an all metal casing to give a premium look after adverts showed liquid metal being poured on a smartphone.

The Lemon 3 Plus will have a 5.5 inch Full HD, IPS screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage – all pretty impressive.

Although Google has now released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system (OS) the new phablet is likely to have the older Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.

Lenovo have yet to announce the name of the new device internationally although it is strongly tipped to be the Lemon 3 Plus. The Lemon name has only previously been used within China with the K3 Lemon previously been known as the A6000 outside of the home country.

With the MWC2016 just days away those looking on with interest will only have a short time to wait until all is revealed. Regardless of the name it is likely to be another hit within the smartphone market.
