Netflix doubles content for users in Thailand, also adds Thai subtitles

Netflix has announced it will double the amount of content available in its library to subscribers in Thailand, as well as adding Thai subtitles and dubbing.

Thai subtitles have been added to around half the content available on the popular streaming service, meaning that you can now enjoy spending quality time with your tee rak binge watching great shows like Stranger Things, House of Cards or Narcos.

“All of the most popular content in the U.S. is available in Thailand. A year ago to now, we’ve doubled the amount of content, and we plan to continue to increase that. We’re constantly innovating, and not just in our technology but also in our content — we’ll add more and more,” David Burt, Netflix’s Content Planning and Analysis Vice-President told Coconuts Bangkok on Thursday.

Netflix is currently offering a free one month trial to its service in Thailand and has monthly subscriptions starting from 280 baht.

Netflix also recently announced the addition of a much demanded new feature.

Earlier this month, Netflix revealed that it was adding a new download feature for Windows 10 users that lets them download TV shows direct to their PC to watch later.

The same feature was made available on iOS and Android last November.

The company also said it is testing a handy ‘Skip Intro’ button that lets users skip the opening credits before watching a TV show.
