New leak reveals Samsung Galaxy S8 might not be as expensive as first thought

New images of the Samsung Galaxy S8 along with pricing information and colour options have been leaked online.

The images come from the normally reliable serial tech tipster Evan Blass, who claims that while Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone won’t exactly be cheap, it may not be as expensive as previous rumours suggested.

According to Blass, the standard version of the Galaxy S8 will sell for €799 (approx 30,000 baht), while the larger Galaxy S8+ will cost €899 (approx 32,000 baht).

Previous reports claimed the Galaxy S8 would cost upwards of 35,000 baht.

Blass also shared images which claim to show three new colour options for the Galaxy S8: Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver.

It’s worth noting that none of the colour options have been confirmed by Samsung, but Blass is normally an excellent source of info regarding upcoming tech.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 on March 29, with various reports claiming the device will go on sale on either April 21 or 26.

Latest rumours claim the the Galaxy S8 may include a facial recognition system that can be used to authorise payments on Samsung Pay.

In the same set of tweets, Blass also leaked prices on a number of Samsung accessories including the DeX mobile computer station (€150), the new Gear VR (€129) and the new Gear 360 camera (€229).
