There isn’t a day that goes by without another leaked photo being released which claims to show the new iPhone 8.
However, the latest leaked photo perhaps gives the best insight yet into what the new device will actually look like.
Apple haven’t been willing to discuss the device openly but new leaked images show a pre-production, dummy model.
In contrast to previous claims, the new images do not show a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Instead, they show a handset with a sleek metal frame and 2.5D glass rear – very different from the iPhone 7 that has an all-metal form.
It was Twitter-based tipster Benjamin Geskin who revealed the images which he claims come from Apple’s production partner Foxconn.

From the latest images, it is not clear where the biometric scanner with be placed on the iPhone 8 with the Touch ID equipped home button also missing.
As in previous images, the device has a near edge to edge display.
Elsewhere, the image shows a new dual lens camera which is positioned vertically, as opposed to horizontally as it is on the iPhone 7 Plus.
It is hard to get a real picture of the device although it does look to fatter than its predecessor.
As we know Apple has yet to officially confirm any details about the the device so it may be advisable to take the new leaks with a large dose of salt.
The iPhone 8 is expected to be unveiled in September and will be just one of three new devices revealed.
The premium version of the device will reportedly land alongside upgraded versions of the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus.
It’s believed iPhone 8 will include a new A11 processor alongside 3GB of RAM and run Apple’s upcoming iOS 11 operating system.
