New update for WhatsApp on iOS helps you to keep things a little more organised

A small but significant update to WhatsApp on iOS adds albums, camera filters and a quick reply feature to the popular messaging application.

WhatsApp rolled out the new features in version 2.17.30 which is available now in the App Store.

WhatsApp on iOS now offers users a handy album view when you send or receive 5 or more photos or videos to a friend in one go.

The photos will be automatically grouped together in an album which will displayed within your messages. You can simply tap on the album to see the photos or videos in fullscreen.

The photo album could be useful if sharing multiple photos from a night out or trip taken with friends as the photos will appear in one album rather than as a never ending line clogging up your chat history.

The update also adds a range of camera filters for photos, GIFs and videos. To access the filters just swipe on screen when using the camera and choose between the five options: black and white, chrome, cool, film and pop.

Perhaps the most useful of the new features is a handy quickly reply shortcut. Just swipe right on any message to begin typing a response.

The new update for WhatsApp on iOS has been released ahead of a major new feature which is expected to be rolled out to all users imminently.

According to a report, WhatsApp will roll out its long rumoured unsend feature in an upcoming update. The update gives users a five minute window in which to recall or revoke a sent message.
