Install the latest updates
The latest updates usually include bug fixes that can often improve the performance of your smartphone. Normally you will get a notification when updates are available but you can check manually by going to “Settings”. Android users should select: About Phone > System Updates. iOS users should select: General > Software Update.
Get rid of the apps you never use

Remove any videos or pictures that you don’t want
Deleting videos and pictures that you have taken of your drunken night out six months ago can be deleted again freeing up more memory and space in your phone. Messages that contain GIFs can also use up a lot of memory as well so are worth removing too.
Make sure nothing is running in the background
