Your old Samsung phone is better than the iPhone 8, new report claims

Consumer Reports, the non-profit testing organisation, which provides consumers with unbiased reviews of products says Samsung’s handsets are better options than the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

In recent rankings, Consumer Reports awarded the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ a score of 81 out of a possible 100, while the iPhone 8 only managed a score of 80.

If that wasn’t bad enough, Consumer Reports recommends customers purchase a Samsung Galaxy S7 instead of the new iPhones, despite being launched 18 months earlier.

According to the U.S based site, Samsung smartphones offer better battery life and call quality compared to the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

Consumer Reports also said it preferred the “handset capabilities” of the Galaxy S7 to the iPhone 8.

However, it wasn’t all good news for Samsung.

The iPhone 8 still managed to rank above the Galaxy Note 8, which while is shared the same score as Samsung handset, was still ranked above in the Consumer Reports leaderboard.

According to a report by Yonhap News, weak durability and heavy weight as the weak points of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

The response from customers to the iPhone 8 have not been what is expected when Apple releases a new handset.

Last week , a Reuters report described demand for the iPhone 8 as “anemic”.

The reason behind the lack of interest in the iPhone 8 is believed thought to be because Apple fans are waiting for the releases of the iPhone X, which will be available in the USA, UK and elsewhere on November 3rd.

November 3rd is the date when the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will go on sale in Thailand, although Apple is yet to confirm the price.
