The Oppo F1 Plus, which boasts a 16MP front facing camera, is now available to buy in Thailand.
The F1 Plus is the same as the recently launched Oppo R9, the only difference being the phone has been renamed for the Thailand market.
Announced back in March, the Oppo F1 Plus has a 5.5 inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution and a pixel density of 401ppi.
Oppo’s latest handset includes 2GHz octa processor, alongside 4GB or RAM and 64 GB internal storage, which can be expanded to 128GB via MicroSD.
It runs Oppo’s Color OS 3.0 on top of Android 5.1 and is powered by a non removable 2850mAh battery, which includes Oppo’s VOOC fast charging feature that the company says will give you two hours of battery use from just 5 minutes of charging.
As for its cameras, Oppo has changed things up with the F1 Plus putting the phone’s primary camera on the front of the device. The 16MP front facing camera, clearly designed for the selfie lovers out there, could make this phone a huge hit in Thailand.
Oppo says the 16MP camera is capable of taking great shots in both day and low level light thanks to the 78.1 degree wide angle lens with an f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and phase detection autofocus. It will also shoot video in 4K. The rear facing 13MP camera isn’t too shabby either.
The F1 Plus looks strikingly similar to the iPhone 6, which along with its high spec selfie camera is perhaps one of the reasons why the phone has helped to Oppo’s sale in China boom this year, making Oppo the world’s 4th biggest mobile phone manufacturer behind Samsung, Apple and Huawei.
The Oppo F1 Plus is available for 15,990 THB and comes in a choice of gold and rose gold (pink).
