Oppo smartphones have become a familiar site on sale in shopping malls and phone shops throughout Thailand for a few years now.
The brand’s latest offering is the new F Series which continues with Oppo’s photography focused handsets, with all the phones in the series having unique features relating to their cameras and indeed the F1 is known as the “selfie-expert”.
The Oppo F1 looks great and weighs in a just 134g so is comfortable for most users. It has a 5-inch HD IPS display that has tapered corners meaning a great blend between the glass and metal and the glass is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 4 to reduce the likelihood of the glass breaking if dropped. There is the pretty standard notification LED in the top right hand corner.
The primary camera, which is located to the rear has a 13MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.2 and a single LED flash. The 2500mAh battery is non-removable and the speaker grille is located at the bottom in the same area. The F1 can be a dual SIM although this is of the hybrid type so you will have to decide if you want a second SIM or a microSD card.
The phone is available in Gold and Rose Gold on the back with the front fascia remaining white.
With regards to software and hardware, the Oppo F1 includes a Snapdragon 616 processor. The new octa-core SoC from Qualcomm shows very few differences from the common Snapdragon 615 processor with only the noticeable difference being that it runs at a slightly higher clock speed at 1.2Ghz instead of 1GHz on the 615.
The device has 16GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM and can support microSD cards up to 128GB.
The Oppo F1 is on sale now for 8,990 Baht.
