Photos of new Nokia 8 leak online, Thailand release imminent

While many people are eagerly anticipating the release of the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy Note 8, which are both due to be released in September, the Nokia 8 could be the phone to look out for this year.

The Nokia 8 is tipped to be one of the most exciting smartphone releases of 2017, that’s if details of the premium handset leaked online are anything to go by.

According to latest info, the Nokia 8 will include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will also feature a Carl Zeiss branded dual camera, will be run stock Android and will be available before the end of July.

Images and a video of the Nokia 8 have recently been shared on Twitter by serial tech tipster Evan Blass.

Phone Arena also reports that the phone was briefly listed on the Nokia website on Wednesday before being taken down.

Meanwhile, reports in Thailand claim the Nokia 8 will be released imminently.

Sanook News claims the phone with model code TA-1004 has already gone through the certification process by regulators the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission and that it will cost around 23,600 baht.

In March, HMD Global vice president for Asia-Pacific, James Rutherfoord revealed that Thailand was an important market for the Nokia brand.

Last month, HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand name, launched the Nokia, 3, 5 and 6 smartphones in Thailand.
