This new electric hypercar is one of the fastest cars ever built and is capable of 0-60 in just 1.85 seconds.
The Concept Two or C_Two for short was this week unviled at the Geneva Motor Show by its makers Croatian firm Rimac.
The company claims the C_Two is capable of 0-60mph (0-100kph) in 1.85 seconds and can reach a top speed of 260mph or 420kph.
If the claims are true then the C_Two would become the world’s fastest electric production car, beating the Tesla Roadster which can do 0-60 in 1.89 seconds.
The C_Two has a 1,914 horsepower engine engine powered by a 120kWh battery which gives its a range of 400km or 640km, which is almost twice that of most electric vehicles.
The company says that the C_Two’s battery, which is powered by 7 million lithiium cells can charge to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
The car also includes facial recognition technology allowing the driver to unlock it with just a glance.
The C_Two also boasts self driving capabilities, with Rimac saying it can operate without a human driver on a variety of different road types but may struggle in some adverse weather conditions.
Rimac, who created the C_Two from its headquarters in Zagreb are yet to announce pricing but expect it to be in excess of $1 million.
Speaking at the Geneva Motor Show this week, Rimac said: “Building on the knowledge gleaned from the brilliantly powerful Rimac Concept One, the all-new C_Two combines the very best materials and bespoke technology to produce something both revolutionary and eminently usable, with performance and character that elevates the genre.
“There is – quite literally – no other car like it.”
