After details emerged earlier this week that Samsung will be launching the Galaxy J7+, a new dual camera smartphone, information regarding its price and release date have now also been leaked.
The Galaxy J7+ will be available in Thailand before it is launched anywhere else and is significant as it includes the same dual camera setup featured on Samsung’s new flagship smartphone the Galaxy Note 8.
According to Thai site Flashfly, the Samsung Galaxy J7+ will be available to pre-order from 17 Sept, will go on general sale on 22 September and will be priced at a reasonable Bt12,900.
Anyone who pre-orders the Galaxy J+ will receive a Samsung U Flex headset worth Bt2,490.
The standout feature of the Galaxy J7+ is the dual camera which is expected to sport a 13MP camera with f/1.7 aperture, alongside a 5MP camera with f/1.9 aperture. There is also a 16MP front facing camera.
Another interesting feature is that the handset is rumoured to include support for facial recognition and Samsung’s digital assistant Bixby, which perhaps hints that the service is set to be launched in Thailand in the not too distant future.
Elsewhere the J7+ will include a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED Full HD display with an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. There’s also 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256GB via MicroSD.
It will also have dual SIM card slots, a 3,000 mAh battery and a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.
