Samsung has said its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9 will be officially unveiled on February 25 at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
The phone is expected to look almost identical the its predecessor, the Galaxy S8, but will include a much improved camera and hardware.
“Samsung Electronics will showcase the next generation of Galaxy devices that reimagines the camera and redefines the way you share your moments,” Samsung said in a statement.
Elsewhere the Galaxy S9 is tipped to include the latest Exynos 9810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, an OLED Infinity Display, iris scanner, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
The news comes after a video shared on the Chinese site Weibo claimed to give a first glimpse of the Galaxy S9 in action.
The 10 second clip shows the front of what looks like a Samsung handset with an Infinity Display.
The person operating the phone is tapping away on the keyboard in what could be a touch sensitivity test being performed on the display.
