Following its unveiling at last month’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Samsung has confirmed the price and release date of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in Thailand.
Both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be available nationwide from March 18th.
The Galaxy S7 will cost 23,900 THB, whilst the S7 Edge comes be available for 26,900 THB for the 32GB versions, in a choice of gold, silver or black.
Samsung is yet to confirm the price or even if the 64GB versions of both handsets will be released in Thailand.
Arguably the most eagerly anticipated Android handset of the year prior to its launch, early reviews suggest both the S7 and S7 Edge very much continue where the last year’s excellent Galaxy S6 left off, with a few added improvements.
This time around, Samsung has chosen to include a MicroSD slot which it had omitted from the S6. The return of MicroSD means storage can be expanded to a whopping 200GB.
The new handsets are also waterproof and Samsung claims both devices can submerged in water for up to 30 minutes.
In terms of design, the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge look almost identical to the S6, that is despite the S7 Edge now including a slightly larger 5.5 inch display, whilst the S7 has a 5.1 inch display.
Other new features include a much improved camera, which despite being only 12MP, compared to the S6’s 16 MP camera, the S7’s new shooter has a larger aperture of f/1.7 meaning it lets in double the amount of light which should result in much better photos when using it in low light.
Both phones are due for release in the UK and US on March 11th, with the device available in Thailand just a week later.
