Hot on the heels of the launch of the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung is getting ready to launch a new dual camera smartphone in Thailand.
The new Galaxy J7 Plus will include a dual camera, with features taken straight from the Galaxy Note 8 and will be launched in Thailand before anywhere else.
Promotional images of the mid range smartphone were leaked last week by tech site the Thaimobilecenter.
The new J7 Plus will include a full HD 5.5 inch Super AMOLED display, with an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor and 4GB RAM. There’s also 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256GB via MicroSD.
It will also come with a dedicated Bixby button, hinting at the arrival of Samsung’s new digital assistant in Thailand, a front facing fingerprint scanner, dual SIM card slots and a 3,000 mAh battery.
But it’s the dual cameras which set the Galaxy J7 Plus apart from other mid range Android phones.
The dual cameras found on the reverse of the device will consist of a primary 13MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, alongside a 5MP secondary sensor.
The Galaxy J7 Plus will also include a Live Portrait mode which has only just debuted on the Galaxy Note 8.
On the front of the device is a 16MP camera, which should appeal to Thailand’s selfie loving smartphone users.
Information on price and official release date isn’t yet known. Samsung’s J7 series is typically priced between Bt10,000-15,000.
