Samsung might just be about to unveil its new flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S8, but two of its other recently released devices are grabbing lots of attention.
A follow up to last year’s models of the same name, the Galaxy A5 (2017) and A7 (2017) are Samsung’s latest mid range offerings and have been on sale in Thailand since January.
The phones, Samsung says, offer premium features at an affordable price.
Samsung says the mid range smartphone market is growing rapidly, none more so in Thailand, where users want a quality phone without the burden of a huge price tag.

Both devices come with Android 6.0.1 out of the box with Samsung’s custom UI on top of that.
Samsung uses its Exynos 7880 64-bit octa-core processor in both phones, alongside 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage.
The only major difference between the two is the the A7 (2017) includes a 3,600 mAh battery to accommodate the larger display, whereas the A5 (2017) has a 3,000 mAH battery. Both displays are full HD.
As for the taking photos both phones include 16MP front and rear facing cameras.
Both phones are also compatible with Samsung Pay, which was recently launched in Thailand
