It has been reported that the upcoming Samsung flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 6 is due to be officially released in mid-August.
Although it is just a rumour, it’s coming from a good source, Evan Blass who is well known for his accurate leaks on new mobile devices, and the news follows his comment on Twitter saying “Samsung Galaxy Note 6 US release date scheduled for week of August 15”.
Although Blass’ tweet only mentioned the US, it appears that Note 6 could be released worldwide on the same date. The reason behind this thinking is because the Note 5, the phone’s predecessor, was released on the same date all over the World so it seems unlikely that the company will alter its plans this year.
Samsung Galaxy Note 6 US release scheduled for week of August 15th.

Samsung has not confirmed whether this information is correct but Blass is seen as a very reliable source and the August release date seems very credible as it would enabled Samsung to launch a new flagship device before Apple launches the iPhone 7, which is expected to be released in September.
Further leaked details about the Note 6 relate to the specs. According to the latest rumours, it is likely to boast IP68 water resistance, have a huge 4,000 mAh battery, 6GB of RAM and 5.8 inch screen (the iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inches), and of course the usual Note slot-in stylus to help with navigation.
While we await confirmation of the official release date of the Note 6, Samsung has reduced the price of the Note 5 in its stores throughout Thailand where you can now pick up the 2015 flagship for 22,900 baht, a 3,000 baht reduction from its original sales price.
