Samsung launches new 256GB MicroSD card

Have you ever been concerned that internal memory of your smartphone is not enough for all the things that you need – music, video, photos not to mention all your other files?

Samsung may have found the solution with the launch of its EVO Plus 256GB microSD card.

This is the highest capacity microSD card available today whilst at the same time boasting faster speeds.

The card can be used with smartphones, tablets, drones, action cameras as well as 360 degree video recorders.
256GB is indeed a large amount of storage, larger than some MacBook Air and notebook computers and can hold up to 12 hours of 4K UHD video or 33 hours of Full HD video.

256GB is also enough to store 55,200 photos and 23,500 MP3 files. The EVO Plus 256GB microSD card is also waterproof, magnetic proof, X-Ray proof and temperature proof.

The appeal of the microSD card is likely to be focused around professionals initially although the appeal to general consumers wanting to store high res images and and 4K videos aside from other graphic-intensive media such as virtual reality experiences and various games is certainly in existence.

The card will be on sale from June this year for $249.99 (approx. THB9,500).
