Samsung starts rolling out Android Nougat update to Note 5 users in Thailand


Samsung has begun rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Galaxy Note 5 phones in Thailand.

Samsung confirmed that Note 5 users will receive the update with firmware number G928CXXU3CQC7.

Users started receiving the update last Friday so you may want to check if you can download it to your device by going to Settings > Menu > About Phone > Software Version > Search for updates.

The update comes in at around 1.3GB so make sure you have this amount of storage available before updating.



Samsung has also reportedly started rolling out the Android Nougat update to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings with it a host of new features and improvements including including better multi windows support and a handy new doze mode.

Android Nougat also offers improved battery performance compared to other previous versions.

On Monday, Samsung announced plans to sell refurbished models of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, which were the subject of a global recall due to battery problems.
