The Thailand Mobile Expo 2018 kicked off in Bangkok yesterday (Feb 15).
The event, which is being held at the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre is open until February 18th and is expected to attract more than 700,000 visitors, generating more than 1.4 billion THB in sales.
The Convention Centre is fairly easy to find and offers plenty of parking if you are travelling by car.
Alternatively, if you are travelling by BTS, the Convention Centre has its own MRT station.
Take the BTS Skytrain to Asoke interchange and then catch the MRT to the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center station. Follow exit 3 to the Center.
Doors open from 10am to 6pm and from experience it best to get there early!
The hugely popular event is a great place to purchase the latest smartphones, smartwatches or some other new gadget at discounted prices.
That said, it isn’t only about top of the range devices, far from it, with smartphones available from just over 1,000 baht, and if you’re in the market for a new phone or tablet, you won’t find a wider selection of new devices on sale currently in Thailand.
Also, a lot of the manufacturers at the expo usually throw in a few freebies or extras such as bluetooth headsets, speakers or phone covers when you buy at the event.
The highlight of this weekend’s expo includes offers from Samsung, which has knocked 3,000 baht off its Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphone, which is also available with a host of extras.
There are also offers across Samsung’s other smartphones on sale in Thailand.
AIS are also offering slight reductions on some iPhone models.
