Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may launch alongside Windows 10…

A brand new more even more powerful Surface Pro 4 may be launched by the summer, which could even give Apple’s iPad something to worry about. With only rumours to go by at the moment however, it still seems likely that the next version of the brilliant Microsoft tablet/laptop hybrid will be out in the next few months. It’s just a shame that it’s likely to be so expensive…

Surface Pro 4 launch could be imminent

Fuelling the speculations is the fact that the current Surface Pro 3 is being offered at reduced prices, a possible scenario that may be to help retailers sell their remaining inventory of stock before the new model hits the stores.

A likely release date is said to be July, when Microsoft is also very probably launching Windows 10, or at least a month or two later at the very latest. If you’re not familiar with the Surface Pro lineup, it’s basically a powerful laptop tablet hybrid, that offers some of the best of each.

The Surface Pro 4 will no doubt be a powerful device using Intel’s Broadwell line of processors, in two versions – a 12-inch and a 14-inch versions, which will probably boast a screen resolution of 2,160 x 1,440, 16 GB of RAM and as much as 1 TB of internal storage. It’s also expected to have a stylus pen, just as its predecessor did.

Rumours say that the Surface Pro 4 will have an 8 megapixel main camera, as well as a small 3.5 megapixel front-facing camera.

Hopefully, it may be even thinner than the outgoing model (which was already pretty slim), and will move to a fan-less design to save power and reduce noise. It’s not yet know however whether the new model will use the new Intel Core M chips (much like Apple’s latest low-end MacBook), as that does away with the fan, but isn’t as powerful as the top line Core i7 processors that have been available in the Surface Pro in the past.

We’ll just have to wait and see when the Surface Pro 4 is released, but it’s certainly going to be a great device for anyone that wants to use Microsoft software and appreciates the benefit of a single device without having to lug around a laptop and a tablet…

The official price is expected to be anywhere from $,1200 to $2,000, depending on the model selected.

As an owner of the original Surface Pro, I can’t wait to be able to get my hands on the Surface Pro 4. I’ll be able to use it for everything and put my laptop to rest. As it is, I’m extremely happy with the Surface Pro! Never once has it given me any issues. Yeah, the price(s) might be a little high, but it will be so worth it.
