Pre-orders have now started for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus in Thailand.
The new flagship smartphones are available to order to April 17 to April 23.
Although unconfirmed by Samsung, delivery of the pre-ordered devices is expected before April 28.
Samsung is offering anyone who pre-orders either device a handful of free accessories worth 6,950 baht.
64GB versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will retail for 27,900 and 30,900 baht, respectively.
Preorders can be made at official Samsung stores nationwide or at AIS, Dtac and Truemove stores.
Last week Samsung’s mobile business chief Koh Dong-Jin said that globally pre-orders for the Galaxy S8 had exceeded those of its predecessor the Galaxy S7.
“It’s still a bit early, but initial responses to the pre-orders that have begun at various places across the world have been better than expected,” Mr Koh said at a media briefing.
Analysts have predicted the Galaxy S8 could set a new sales record for the Korean tech firm, with users seemingly unfazed by the battery problems that affected the Galaxy Note 7 handset last year.
Samsung says its new smartphones are the “start of a new era” and include such features as iris recognition, improved processor and innovative bezel less design.
However, in what is a setback for the Korean firm, Samsung last week announced that Bixby, it’s in house voice based virtual assistant will be not included as planned when the S8 and S8+ launch globally on April 21.
