We all love a good puzzle and there are certainly lots on the internet to test your brain function but here is one that we particularly liked.
Apparently only around a third of people who attempt the puzzle actually get the right answer – so can you?
Dubbed the car-in-a-box puzzle, the brainteaser was originally published by Puzzlefizzy on the website Brilliant.org and asks users to work out which box the car is in – sound straightforward?
Apparently only 1 in 3 or around 36 percent of people can solve it.
The three boxes all have drawings of cars on the outside with statements written below the boxes, the teaser is that only one of the statements is correct.
The puzzle reads: “There are 3 boxes, exactly one of which has a car. You can keep the car if you pick the correct box!
“On each box there is a statement, exactly one of which is true.
Box 1: The car is in this box.
Box 2: The car is not in this box.
Box 3: The car is not in box 1.
“Which box has the car?”
So which box contains the car?
Has it got you stumped?
