VIDEO: This flying superyacht is the ultimate way to travel on water

A new video shows an incredible flying superyacht that can carry up to 8 passengers and travel at speeds of 40 knots (74km/h).

The luxury yacht, which looks like something out of a Bond movie, has a hybrid electric/diesel engine has a range of 260 nautical miles when traveling at 20 knots or 130 nautical miles at 30 knots.

The vehicle is made from carbon fibre and high grade stainless steel, aluminium and titanium. It also includes a two diesel and electric BMW engines that provide 320bhp which are used to power custom torpedo engines.

It incorporates a hydrofoil system that uses wing like blades to that cut through the water as the boat increases its speed. The faster the boat travels, the higher the lift and its makers say it can handle waves up to five feet.

The flying superyacht, is called Foiler and has been created Enta Marine, based in the United Arab Emirates. It was officially launched last month at the Dubai International Boat Show.

The firm haven’t released any details with regards to price, but there is already a 12 month waiting list for those lucky enough to be able to buy one.

Take a look at how foiler can handle rough seas:
