The Chinese manufacturer had a fantastic year in 2015 becoming the third bigger smartphone maker in the World and was also picked to launch Google’s Nexus 6P which is regarded by most as being Google’s flagship Android phone.
The 6P was arguably the best Android phone on the market in 2015 but Huawei still wanted more and released two of their own branded phones in the form of the Huawei Mate S and the Huawei Mate 8.
Huawei will definitely launch something at the MWC 2016 but exactly what that will be is uncertain and indeed the company has intimidated that they don’t want to clash with any big announcements from LG.
It had been expected that the P9 would be launched at this year’s event to follow on from the previous flagship the P8 but with reports that Huawei are planning to release four versions it appears that this has been delayed to avoid any such announcement being drowned out by LG.
Elsewhere in Huawei news we are led to believe that they will be announcing the unveiling of their latest smartwatch ,the Huawei Watch 2 which would be in keeping with the launch of the original model at last year’s event.
There is also talk that there may be a launch of a dual-boot notebook that is capable of running both Android and Windows OS although speculators seem to think that at this stage these rumours are unfounded.
One thing is for sure, we can expect big things from the Chinese giant throughout 2016.
